Cherry Blossom Viewing Train of Nishikigawa Seiryu Line

How about trying to taste varieties of local Sake of Iwakuni by taking the Nishikigawa Seiryu Line in cherry blossom season.

Content: This special train service offers you a chance to enjoy lunch and five brands of local Sake in Iwakuni.

※ A round Toko-Toko train adult fare of 500yen is available to those interested.

International Women’s Epee Fencing Training Camp in Iwakuni

This training camp by athletes representing Japan, USA-a registered Japan’s Host Town, Ukraine and Hong Kong is opened to public.

Japan-U.S. Exchange Event-“Mochitsuki”

Venue: Ten-no （place to meet up= Ten-no Elementary School）

Content: Firsthand experience of Mochitsuki and lunch.

Spring Family Festival

Thank You in Advance for Cooperation to Evacuation and Traffic Restriction during Dud Removal Work on March 17 (Sun)

● Removal work of a dud

A dud was discovered on Jan. 7 at the planned construction site of Higashi Elementary and Junior High School (1-19, 2-chome, Mikasa-machi.) Evacuation is advised for the   area within a radius of approx.200m of the removal work spot and the area becomes off-limit from 08:00 on March 17 (Sun) until the work is completed.

Evacuation-advised area and surrounding alleys and streets will be closed for any traffic　(in accordance with Disaster Countermeasures Basic Act.)

All the residents residing or working within the evacuation-advised area will be asked to evacuate to safer places. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Your understanding and support are appreciated for securing the safety of lives and properties.

● Cancellation of Evacuation

Only after the completion of removal and confirmation of safety, the city will be announcing the cancellation of evacuation via News Application for Iwakuni Citizens and Iwakuni　Citizen Mail. Applications can be downloaded by scanning the following QR codes.
